HEALING
DEMETER In Greek myth
Demeter's beloved child Persephone is abducted and raped. Demeter
is bereft, mourning the loss of her daughter, her daughter's innocence
and her own betrayal. Often, the mother's personal wounds of self blame, grief, shame, anger and betrayal are set aside so the healing focus can be centered on the vulnerable child. In this meeting we will provide a brief sanctuary where the grieving mother can begin to explore her personal stories and to see how the processes of psychosynthesis, guided imagery, art and writing might initiate healing. Sharing is optional. All work may be done privately in a journal. Led by Susan
Conrardy, M.A. Cost: $24. Please make reservations.
