SACRED DANCE THROUGH THE CREATION SPIRITUALITY CENTERED MASS

This course will focus each week on a different part of the Mass. Beginning with the Kyrie and ending with Deo Gratias, we will contemplate the meaning of each part and then add prescribed melodic chants and movements in order to enable us to "dance" the Mass and open ourselves to the direct experience of its message.

The Creation Mass has been developed out of the inspiration of the Dances of Universal Peace, which use sacred phrases from the world's religious traditions set to music and movement in order to embody the Spirit. It has also been influenced by Matthew Fox's work on Creation Spirituality.

Led by Khatiba Grais, M.A., MFT
Khabita Grais has been involved in the Dances of Universal Peace for more than 25 years. She brings to this work her love of the Sacred with an emphasis on the Divine Feminine, and a special attunement to Christianity and to the ancient music of the Mass.

No prior experienced is necessary; all are invited to participate regardless of religious affiliation, music ability, or gender.

Cost: $72 for six week commitment. Minimum class size - 10; no maximum.
