Reflection
Lent is a time of renewal.
Lent is set in the Springtime of the year when we see signs of rebirth all around us. Daffodils bloom, robins break forth in song, light from the sun breaks through the dark greyness of winter. The green-ness of the hillsides speaks of newness.
For forty days we focus on preparing for OUR Easter re-birth.
This can be such an opportunity for growing into our own truth.
I can feel the challenge in my bones, as I receive the ashes on my forehead.
Paul's letter speaks of us as ambassadors for Christ. I ask myself: what kind of ambassador have I become over the years? How well do I reflect the values of Christ?
What can I do this year, during this Lent, to be truly renewed in the Spirit?

Mantra
Now is the acceptable time
Now is the day of salvation.
