| "My
dwelling shall be with them; I will be their God, and they shall be
my people." Many "have seen what Jesus did, and put their faith in Him." |
| Reflection |
| So
instead of looking beyond the political expediency of the times and
placing their trust in God, they designed "a plan… to kill
Jesus" and thus control by worldly means a worldly concern. In
their fortress religiosity the Sanhedrin failed to see the Spirit
of God working in their midst to fulfill the promise given to them.
Lent provides a
good time to reflect on whether we have surrendered to the concerns
of the world or whether we will trust in God's promises and act
as Proverbs 3:5 advises: |
