Reflection
The journey to Mt. Tabor is in my thoughts today. . . All kinds of inner stirrings
must have been present in the hearts of Peter, James and John as they were drawn
into the mystery of Jesus Christ. It seems as if these apostles could not resist
the invitation to walk with a friend. It is the same with us. We are often led
to a place where we do not understand. We are asked to go deep within our hearts
where transformation occurs. We are often shown Moses and Elizah, but because of
our own insecurities it is easier to fall asleep. Yet, if we look beyond ourselves
Mt. Tabor will give us something to hold on to in the midst of the clouds. Peter,
James and John heard the voice of God acknowledging Jesus as Son. We too must listen
for the voice of God in our own lives.
Mantra
Listen for the voice of God.
