| How do we know the will of God? One way to answer this is to learn what it is not, as we find in these passages: it is not power over other people, having things go the way we think they should, always doing what people want us to do, or a life without pain. Jesus served a Presence he knew intimately. How do we serve this Presence? The poet Antonio Machado says, "To get to know someone, ask a question, then listen." |
