Jeremiah 11:18-20

John 7:40-53

Scripture
"And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then thou showedst me their doings."
Reflection
The book of Jeremiah, the Prophet, describes the religious and political
climate during the forty years prior to the destruction of Jerusalem. We read that although Jeremiah was persecuted, he held steadfast to and in his beliefs, warning the "wicked" and comforting those who trusted in God. Our modern times reflect similar conditions in both the religious and political arenas. How might we, in these times of fears regarding planetary destruction, outrage in regard to inhumane treatment, disagreement with administrative decisions, remain steadfast to our beliefs, trusting that we will allow Spirit to help us
choose our words and actions, speak our truths as we continue to believe that struggle is a necessary part of this waiting time?
