Reflection for February 15, 2017

Reflection of love from Scripture,
Daily Word booklets and others:

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude… 1 Cor. 13:4

Love has the power to heal, and prayer connects us in awareness to 2017Feb15the infinite power of God. No one is alone.

Hatred stirs up strife. but love covers all offenses. Porverbs 10:12

Through the love in our hearts we are moved to forgive, to serve others without reservation.  We can draw God’s healing love into our hearts in quiet times and with our prayers.

Id we let hurt or fear build a wall around our heart, we can change our attitude by letting divine love fill us and deflect any pain or suffering.
Nothing can rob us of the joy of giving and receiving love; nothing can block its flow.

Let us be magnets for love, let us be mirrors that reflect God’s love out into the world.

God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.  Romans 5:5

Expressing empathy, listening deeply to another, being compassionate –these acts invite love to grow.  I am God’s love in action.

How precious is your steadfast love, O God!  All people may take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7

God is the source of all love.  It is the beacon of caring.  It shines outward and blesses us and our world.  We comfort, nourish, and encourage others with our loving thoughts and words; the purest form of love, which is creative and fun, sincere and helpful.

“Let’s reach out in peace and love to dispel the darkness of fear and violence.”

What is your heart saying right now?  What do you need, to be free to love?
What is your heart’s desire?  Maybe at least one word will explain it.
Is it healing, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, hope, courage, joy….  What is the most important for you today?
