Reflection for March 29, 2017

The Lord’s Prayer

Oh Thou, the Radiance, the Nurturing and Breathing Life of all,
Help us breathe one holy breath2017March292017March29b
Feeling only you — this creates a shrine
inside, in wholeness.
I often look elsewhere for your light and get drawn out of my Self,
but your Truth lives always within me.
Let your counsel rule our lives,
clearing our intention
co-creating new images of harmony and love.
Give us the food we need to grow
through each new day
through each illumination of life’s needs.
Produce in me, for me, the possible —
each only human step toward home lit up.
Untangle the knots within
so that I may mend my heart’s simple ties to others.
Lighten my load of secret debts
as I relieve others of their need to repay.
Free me from what holds me back
so that I may walk your path with joy.
May this prayer be the ground
from which all my actions grow.
Sealed in trust and faith,
Amen.
